HEARTS OVER HABITS LIFE ACADEMY

The Hearts Over Habits Life Academy is a robust online learning community for our program participants. The community offers evidence-based and evidence-informed curriculums in our FRESH development pillars: finance + future planning, relationship development, education + life skills, social-emotional learning, and health and wellness. Our available courses and descriptions can be previewed below.
FINANCIAL LITERACY
PROGRAM
Program participants are able to participate in this virtual course that provides lessons in 14 including debt repayment, credit basics, and managing household decisions.
SHOW UP SIS
The Show Up Sis is a course designed by Roslyn Postlewaite, LCSW, a licensed therapist from Memphis, TN. This course is designed for the professional woman looking for more balance and practical steps to manage her everyday professional and personal duties. The course is structured to help you overcome self-sabotage and procrastination to create habits that work and become more disciplined, productive, and fulfilled. You’ll learn the simplistic way to create an individualized manageable schedule, explore your values to make better decisions and create boundaries, outline sustainable self-care that reduces burnout, and identify the mindset blocks that keep this from happening.
APPLIED DIGITAL SKILLS TRAINING
Our digital skills program gives participants to learn applied digital skills via our partnership with Google. These self paced program pathways help students gain skills that support college and career readiness, entrepreneurship, and computer science.
PREGNANCY AND RISK REDUCTION PROGRAM
The evidence informed 8-week program provides comprehensive sexual health education including both contraceptive methods and abstinence education.

RELATIONSHIP HEALTH
Our relationship health curriculum provides a variety of learning opportunities addressing healthy and unhealthy relationship signs, digital consent and social media in relationships, and other complex relationship dynamics.
ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE
Our academic assistance virtual study hall provides students with access to a free homework help hotline, instructional videos, and self paced courses including SAT and ACT preparation.

e-mentoring
program
Community is important and mentors matter. Mentoring increases social capital for youth and young adults. Research has demonstrated that participants in mentoring programs have improved academic achievement, decreased risk taking behaviors, and an increased socioeconomic status long term.
